I already have something named after me, the olive. The name has a Latin origin meaning “olive tree” or “olive branch” derived from the word “oliva”. It symbolized peace and abundance, which were two of the most important desires in ancient Rome. William Shakespeare made this name more popular in the 1600s with the character Olivia in the play Twelfth Night. The name has remained popular since then, especially more recently in the 21st century.
