Chile offers a wide range of activities and experiences, from exploring local markets to magnificent hiking opportunities. I recently sat down with Vogue to look back on my trip to Easter Island and Santiago. I started by contrasting the two areas stating “Easter Island was a lot more secluded but had its own charms”.
Of course, Santiago has its own personality as a city, giving a more urban feel. The neighborhoods were all so different, and had its own kind of subculture, which I enjoyed when I walked from place to place. My favorite was Barrio Bellavista, which was full of bright colorful art and friendly people.
As the interview was wrapping up, they asked me if there was anything I wanted to add. I told them that for inexperienced travelers, the best piece of advice I would give would be to be open to new experiences, but also practice basic safety, which should be followed anywhere. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to travel to Chile, and I hope that those who read this article, consider the importance of travel.
